Hang on. Your roll is nearly ready.
02 — Photography
Twenty-four shots, no preview, two hours of waiting. BlindRoll takes the screen out from between you and the moment — you only see the roll once it has developed. Exactly that exciting feeling of picking up a roll of film.
Inside the app
Four screens from the app: filling the roll, the wait, the film picker and the reveal.
How it works
No picking filters afterwards, no twenty attempts at the same shot. You choose your film stock up front, and after that it's simply: look, press, move on.
Before you start, you load a film. Each filter is modelled on a real stock — warm and grainy, cool and contrasty, or classic black and white. That choice applies to the whole roll, so you set the mood up front rather than afterwards.
The viewfinder shows what you're pointing at, but not what you captured. No preview strip, no "let me try that again". You count down from 24 to 0, and that's precisely what makes it exciting.
Once the roll is full it goes "into development". For two hours nothing visible happens — you get a notification the moment it's ready. Impatient? You can buy your way past the wait. But waiting is a lot more fun.
You open the app and see everything for the first time. The failed ones, the odd ones, and that one shot you'd never have taken if you could have checked. Keepers go to your own gallery with a single tap.
Film stocks
The film simulations run entirely on your device: no upload, no waiting, no connection needed. They shift colour response and contrast the way real film does.
Warm and faded — the classic analogue colour look most people picture when they think of old holiday photos.
Vivid and saturated with heavy contrast. It makes landscapes and bright light dramatic.
Grainy black and white, timeless and documentary. Best in hard light with clear shapes.
The frame as your camera captured it, with no colour grading. Still no preview, of course.
Soft, faded instant vibes in warm tones. A one-time purchase that stays yours.
High contrast with cool highlights and a retro edge. Also a one-time, permanent unlock.
Your photos
Your photos live on your own device. We don't upload them, don't look at them and don't keep them on a server. You don't need an account to use the app, and you don't have to hand over any personal details.

Because that's the idea. The moment you can check, you start correcting: one more, slightly different, smile again. BlindRoll removes that option so you pay attention to the moment rather than the result. The downside is that some shots fail. That's exactly what makes a roll worth having.
Two hours from the moment your roll is full. You get a notification when it's ready, so you don't have to keep the app open. If you'd rather not wait, you can skip the development time with a small purchase.
Downloading is free and you get three rolls to start with. After that you top up: one roll for €1.49, three for €3.49 or five for €5.49. Skipping the development time costs €0.49.
Premium film stocks are bought once and stay yours — use "Restore purchases" to get them back after a reinstall or on a new device. Current pricing is always shown in the app.
Nothing, outside your device. Your photos are stored locally; we don't upload, access or keep them. You own everything you shoot and decide what to do with it. Do make the occasional backup with your phone's built-in tools — an app can't undo a device failure.
No. You can use the app without registering and no personal information is requested. Creating an account is possible but optional.
